Where do you find inspiration for your home?

I find it EVERYWHERE!

Walking through Target, driving through a pretty neighborhood, watching Pushing Daisies {when it was on} all over the place! Do you have a favorite magazine, website or person who inspires you?

How DARE I forget Hobby Lobby! Yes, it IS inspiration! If I could only shop at one store for the rest of my life it would be there!!

Oooh! Hobby Lobby for me too! I also get inspiration from catalogs: Pottery Barn, Anthropologie, Real Simple magazine. Also, the house in the movie Something's Gotta Give is pretty much AMAZING. We also have some great trendy antique stores in the area that give me lots of inspiration.

There is a store called Jack Cecil oops I mean Dolce Dimora, which is awesome. I love, love Anthropolgie although I have only shopped online & not in a store. Urban Outfitters has a few things I like to look at too.

Pottery Barn catalogue is awesome. Romantic Homes magazine. The Better Homes & Garden special publication decorating magazines are great. Cottage Living magazine.

And I *heart* Restoration Hardware. A lot. I wouldn't mind living in the store.

Pottery Barn catalog and watching home shows on HGTV. I tend to walk away with ideas that I can translate to my own style. (Some of the stuff they do is just ugly!) I like shows that try to stretch a dollar: Decorating Cents, Design on a Dime, and sometimes Trading Spaces. I sometimes like Divine Design...it seems her designs are becoming more accesible.

I've watched a few episodes. Hilde is still a b***h and does mean things to people and, frankly, Paige is darned weird now. We don't like the show and haven't made watching it a priority. I had high hopes!

OOOh.. I agree.. If I ever saw Hilde coming towards my home, I would deadbolt the lock and hide in the closet!!! She is too scary, and I hate her attitude that its her design and no one can argue with it. I do love Frank and Laurie though..

Nester,
Wow, I had no idea this whole world was over here! People talking and chatting and all sorts of home-goodness! Of course, I had to join in. I hate to miss out!
I find inspiration everywhere too. I read all sorts of magazines, watch movies with great houses in them, look at catalogs, go shopping, read blogs. I travel whenever I can because seeing other places gives me new ideas. I am constantly absorbing inspiration. I'm a design sponge. But that blog name was already taken so I didn't use that one for my blog.
Happy day!
