Hi all...........I needed to join this group because my nest is always getting a make-over, expecially as I work in a home decorating shop.....lol.
So go ahead.........tell me about your ideas for your own home, and maybe I can throw a few ideas your way too.

hi everyone,
i'm new and just wanted to introduce yourself. can i just tell you all that i am now addicted to all of your blogs. i never knew what true sleep deprivation meant until i started reading all of your blogs. mind you, i have a toddler and a baby but when i discovered the wonderful world of blogging and the many creative women that own one, i got hooked. i believe i got about 3 hours of sleep last night! LOL.

i am looking forward to perusing everyone's blogs for ideas. i'm on a budget and i need help to make my home

I just recruited my mom's designer talent (and my dad's willing labor) and finally hung all my pictures (my least favorite decorating job)! Whenever dh and I were home together (definitely a two person job) we just ended up doing other projects, and putting this one off. I feel like I have a more "homey" home now!!

Worst decorating experience--most recent disaster: We replaced all of the light fixtures in our house. I found a gorgeous platinum pendant fixture for our breakfast nook for only $19~I thought it was one of those "meant to be" moments, LOL. It was a display and when I asked for a box, I was directed to the check-out salesperson. She could not find a box and did not have a bag that was big enough, so I carried the fixture to my car. My 14-year old held it on his lap for the ride home and when we arrived, I opened his door to carefully take it from him. But, before I could get my other hand under the glass shade, it fell and shattered on my driveway! I was just sick...but, the shop did give me a refund and I found a small platinum chandelier...

And your mistreatments ROCK!

I just wrote an article on the worst misuse of fabric EVER! It will be posted tomorrow morning. OMG I'm almost too embarassed to post it due to my laziness, but it turned out so good.
