Relationship Status:: Married: 2 years

Do you have children?: Not yet...but I'm trying to talk my husband into a puppy.

About Me:: I am 26 years old. I graduated from Kentucky Wesleyan College in 2004 with a BA in Psychology. I plan to go back to school to get my MA in Marriage & Family Therapy next year. My husband and I recently moved back to the States from Wroclaw, Poland where we've been missionaries for the past two years working with college students.

I was blessed with the most amazing parents in the world, 3 amazing older siblings (including the best sister ever), and 3 wonderful brothers-in law. Not to mention a great set of in-laws!

I'm one blessed gal who tries to love the Lord with all her heart, but needs some serious discipline training when it comes to studying the Word.

I also love to cook, sing, dance, play the piano, take photos, disciple/counsel young women, travel the world, take care of people, and spend time with my family...OH and knit. I also appreciate a good glass of wine and occasionally like a fun mixed drink! Favorite: Coke & Malibu Rum

I have the GREATEST friends in the world.

There are two material things that I really really want someday...a dog and a piano.

What is your favorite part of Homekeeping?: Cooking, trying new recipes, baking :) I like doing the dishes *by hand*...it's relaxing for me. Decorating & organizing things.

What is your least favorite part of Homekeeping?: Cleaning the bathroom. Blech.

WOOOHOO! NEW KNITTING STUFF

YAY! I got a super exciting package in the mail today!! :) My FABULOUS big sis sent me fun new yarn, a really great (and lots 'o fun to read) knitting book in the mail, along with an ADORABLE handmade, personalized wrist tote! Chocolate Cake & Cinnamon Rolls

So, I've still been baking quite a bit recently...trying to make something new each week. A few weeks ago I tried a recipe from my sister's cookbook. A recipe that was submitted to her from her friend Sheila called "Wacky Cake." This is the EASIEST cake I have ever made in my life! Not to mention, chocolatey, moist, and super yummy! I LOVE Knitting!

So, my friend Elaine's birthday (as well as mine) is tomorrow and I made a couple gifts for her. :) I was really excited about this scarf! I love the yarn...unfortunately I only bought one ball and when I realized it wasn't as long as I wanted it, I went back to get more and the lady didn't have it. :( But, I think it's still okay. long enough to do the job. ;) I also made a cell phone case for her. WOOHOO! I finished a project in one day!

With Jenn's help....thanks Jenn! :) I had a great time today! Girl time, red wine, brownie pie, & knitting...it doesn't get much better than that! ;)

What I CAN do...

Is Bake! No, I haven't mastered taking the best pictures of my creations (well, they're not even MY creations...I guess I'm just good at reproducing someone else's creations).

Each week we have student over to our flat for dinner, discussion, & dessert. I try to cook up something they've never had before. I've been dabbling in homemade goodies...bars & cakes mostly.
