I'm a mother, wife, daughter, sister, and friend! I love being a SAHM, fine tuning our frugal lifestyle, and sharing my frugality on my blog. I get a small rush when I've found a unique way to use something I'd otherwise get rid of. Repurposing is quickly becoming a passion of mine along with hacking commercial products-convenience foods, cleaning products, etc.

Finding crafty ways to run my home for a fraction of the cost
when we did it and paid out of pocket we did it in payments and split up the appts. so we could pay some each time but it was costly and they basically told us kinda what we already knew i have learned we really wont ever know why or what caused it and that it is what it is and i will do my best to always help him along and he has many other talents and gifts that he has to offer. it is so hard and frustrating to never have an answer sometimes i think we think it would be so much easier if there was a name for it or so on but the best thing we can do as parents is have a good plan in place and stay on board with the school and really communicate as to what is going on in school!! i have a goos repoar with the teachers and i am always informed also if you can the teacher in his resource room makes study packets for any tests in other classes basically this is exactly what will be on the test so then you can study at home i wish you the best!!! please come chat anytime you need to vent or need a listening ear of a parent who deals with it on a daily basis!!!

hey jennifer i am new to this site so bear with me!!! as i figure it out!!1 i am the same way you are the :"thrifty diva" is what everyone that knows me calls me!!i love the thrifts and discount stores and i am addicted to freecycle and craigslist too i have gotten the best things for free and shared things there too!!! nice to meet ya Ü
i am struggling with the same thing for years my son is also diagnoses with learning disabilities or a low learning deficit as they say we ran the whole gammet of testing paid 1200.00 out of pocket for the tests that were not covered by any insurance and no answers we don't know what has caused this or why!! it is so frustrating i used to say i was part stay home mom and cheerleader advocate for my son at school always trying to get his ieps and learning plans organized and followed ! it is so frustrating and difficult to deal with and all we can do is rally up and try to do our best and push them in a gentle way to try to want to succed! my sons esp is reading he has the hardest time and of course that affects everything else he does. now to look at this kid you'd never know anything was wrong til a classroom setting or trying to read even the easiest of a paragrah even a sentence, yet put this kid in fron if a machine or anything mechanical he can take apart and tell you how to operate!!! i feel i will never have answers and can not subject this kid to any more testing etc i have leaned that for me i have to accept that it is what it is and it will be a life long struggle with school which is gonna require alot of patience and staying steady on a path towrds learning and accomplishing tasks!staying on track but most days that i s easier said then done!!! as my child hates school!!! so frustraitng so i feel your pain we are now in a excellent school with a good iep prigram etc and for once we are making progress!!i hope you can get the answers you have been looking for but if you dont and ever need to chat or vent etc please feel free to do so at KImmyLynn2u2@aol.com
