Hi, I'm Roxy. I'm a 32 year old homemaker living in CT with my wonderful husband Dave and our three crazy pets. We recently moved into a "new" home and have been busy updating it and making it our own. I also enjoy crocheting and recently opened an ETSY storefront to sell some of my handmade goods. Overall, I live a very simple life and couldn't be happier!
Thanks for commenting on my crocheted blanket. The blanket is made up a version of Granny Squares - they are Granny Rectangles, then all attached.

Really, you have done a good job with your fireplace so far. I think the last pic of the tile is the best. It has the light with the chocolate brown print. I think it would look good with your sofa. I do think you need more of a mantel and think it is fine to mix wood tones if you wanted to go darker.
I would retile the bottom of your fireplace as well. Maybe just take the small tiles that you have chosen all the way down, or do a similar pattern in a bigger tile.
Personally I would stay with something like your inspiration picture for your mantel. I like the clean look of all white (this way you don't have to worry about anything clashing). I wouldn't do any tile with a yellow undertone unless you really love the honey in your floors. Yellow in the tile will really bring the yellow/orange in the floors out and might clash with one another too.
Good luck and I look forward to seeing what you do!
