I have a daughter, 19, a son, 14, and another son, 10.
About Me:
I'm a high school special education English teacher. (say that five times fast!) I love, love love my job! I work with students who wish to earn a regular education diploma, and who must pass the state English exam. I get so excited every semester when the scores roll out of the fax machine...I've been known to do my own special happy dance(onlookers say it involves squealing with joy after I read the scores, jumping up and down, turning in a circle, and ends a few minutes later with "oh yeahhhhh.....WHOSE yer English Teacher!!) I also love the time I get to spend at home. I love to read, cook, and garden. I love being able to be at home when my kids are at home. Another love shared by my family is animals. We literally have a zoo here. A .real .zoo. I've thought about charging admission for a second income. Let's see, we have..............11 miniature blue eyed nigerian goats(not in the house, I pinky swear. Ok..there was the one bottle baby, but never ever again), 6 dogs(2 outside 4 inside), 3 cats(inside), and an Egyptian Mali lizard(somewhere deep in the depths of my teenage son's room). Ok, this is sad. To me, that list doesn't look very long after I type it. My family is out of control with animals, lol. You know you're in danger of over population when you KNOW what the limit on dogs is before they consider you a collector(ahem, 8). Animals definitely add to the challenge of keeping your home clean!
