How Old is Your Toothbrush?

Today's post offers info on the nastiness that's probably breeding on your toothbrush right now.
Confession time--how old is your toothbrush?
I have a brand new toothbrush, but I had a head start on reading the articles! Before I bought three 97 cent toothbrushes from Target (I plan to toss every two weeks now) I had been using the same toothbrush since Christmas. I remember because Santa gave it to me.
So four full months is the going record--can you beat it?

I went to the dentist in January. I've been using that same one since. EVERY TWO WEEKS? I heard every 6 mos. I'm thinking I need a new toothbrush. zoinks.

Hmmm...I believe I changed mine 3 to 4 months ago. I thought it was supposed to be changed every 3 months or whenever the bristles changed colors. (If you have one of those kinds that is.)

I have more than one brush. I keep one in each bathroom, and one in my overnight case. Since I very rarely travel, the one in my overnight case is practically new. My husband buys toothbrushes regularly, so I try to switch them out when I see new ones arrive.

We use sonicare--so i buy replacement heads every 6 months--I know--pretty bad. However--and this is the honest truth--I think my grandma takes the record. Back when my mother was 19 she gave my grandmother a pretty purple toothbrush for christmas. Fast forward many years to the time I am in high school and we go visit my grandmother. She was still using the SAME toothbrush!!

Okay, mine is less than a week old. That is only because I was at the dentist last week and was given a new one. My previous toothbrush was probably about 5 months old. That is so bad, isn't it.

I hate changing my toothbrush. But I also hate germs.......so I soak mine in mouthwash after every brush......do you think that helps? I change it out every month or so..........right when it gets like I want it. :(

I change the head on my toothbrush every 3 months. The dentist said 6 but I can not stand it that long. We also got a toothbrush head cleaner that we have been using. It makes all the difference in the world to the brush head.
