What's Your Favorite All-Around Cleaner?

Remember My Big Fat Greek Wedding? The dad used Windex on everything! I was copycatting this--love me some Windex--when I read a rumor that Merry Maids housekeepers use a spray bottle with 4 drops of Dawn to clean everything. (I checked out their site and they do indeed recommend dishwashing liquid on their tips list.) So I mixed up a batch and gave it a whirl. Suprisingly, the diluted Dawn worked on everything(mirrors-glass-tile-wood-porcelain-whatever the tub is made of), with a better shine than Windex and no caustic smell like 409. Clorox Anywhere for Hard Surfaces, but I too am looking forward to trying new things. Thanks to all you have supplied such good info!!! I love the dawn idea!

I have recently converted to Vinegar and water. I am amazed at how clean and shiny it makes everything. I can't believe I've spent so much money in the past for cleaning stuff. I am loving it.

Although incredibly not environmentally-friendly or safe for much, I admit that I do love my good 'ol Clorox bleach. I dilute it and put it in spray bottles, I splash it in the toilet bowl and give it a whirl, whiten laundry with it and I pour small amounts of it in the sink when the disposal starts to reek . . . I know, how evil.

But I'm trying to use less of it - and I am a huge fan of Method products. Love, love, love the peppermint window wash and the grapefruit all-purpose cleaner! Their hand soaps are good too.

Vinegar and Water is my go to! Luv Luv Luv it - I don't mind my house smelling like a salad :)

Comet Bathroom Cleaner. It says right on the bottle Bathroom Cleaner, but it works wonders everywhere! I use to clean my stovetop, to get rid of stains on my counter, in the the kitchen sink, in the microwave and yes in the bathtub and bathroom sink.

I love Clorox Anywhere spray because it's safe to use around my kids and food. I use it to clean my counters, my stove top, everything. And when I run out and don't feel like buying a new bottle, I just refill the old bottle with water and add a tiny bit of bleach.
