I'm going to be painting my kitchen table (the base) and chairs. Should I use spray paint or paint and a brush? The chairs are currently spray painted white with flat spray paint so priming shouldn't be an issue. What would you do?

Don't use a brush!!! I learned this the hard way. All those spindles and rungs are such a pain with a brush. Plus it's nearly impossible to get rid of the brush marks.

For kitchen chairs, I would wash them very well then prime with a spray primer. Then I'd just spray paint them with whatever color I was using.

Yeah, I agree. Using a brush will leave annoying little stripes that will drive you crazy.

Make sure you pick a not windy day and lay lots of newspaper outside (our driveway has four blue dots from my hubby spraying a table, like, 6 years ago).
Good luck!

I will definitely post pictures. I can't wait to get it done, but I'll probably have to wait until this weekend to get started.

I am refinishing the top of the table, painting the sides and legs black and painting the chairs black.
